2007 “Star Service Trophy” recipient

Star Service awards began in 1996 to recognize outstanding individual employee performance
as acknowledged each month by other staff. At the end of each year, the employee who has
received the most awards is honored with the presentation of an elegant gold “star” trophy.
(The trophy is on public display at the check-out desk).

This year's Star Service winner, Cindy Romero, has been a library staff member for over 3 years.  Cindy
can usually be found having fun in the children's room; after all, she is our Senior Librarian-
Youth Services.  Her fellow staff members recognized her dedication to the youth of our community
as she presented outreach programs to local pre-schools, PTAs and service clubs and by conducting
School Nights at the Library.  This year she added another Mother Goose Storytime and an additional
Saturday morning Storytime.  Cindy exhibited Platinum Customer Service when she had to take over
extra duties for eight months while we were searching for a new Senior Librarian-Adult Services.
Cindy's enthusiasm and energy are what make her a Star Employee of the Glendora Public Library.
We are so proud to have her as a member of our library family! Congratulations, Cindy!

Daisy Fregoso, who always has a welcoming smile for everyone, is our second place winner.  Anne Pankow, who is always willing to step up and help
wherever needed, and Sandy Krause, who is always willing to train staff on new database programs, are tied for third place.

Congratulations to all!
