National Book Award
These awards are given to recognize achievements in four genres: Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry and Young People's Literature.

Juvenile Series and Sequels - Mid-Continent
Public Library
The 'Juvenile Series and Sequels' database
currently contains over 21,000 books in
series titles that are classified into three
audiences:
- Young
Adult – for high school-aged readers
- Juvenile
– appropriate for grade school through
junior high-aged readers
- Juvenile Easy – for young readers just beginning to
read
Lexile - Book Search
The Lexile Book Database contains more than
100,000 English and Spanish fiction and
non-fiction titles from more than 450
publishers. Once you know a student’s Lexile
measure, you can search the database for
books that fall within his or her Lexile
range.
You can search the Lexile Book Database using basic search
parameters:
- Title (including partial titles -- e.g., "moon"
when looking for "Goodnight Moon")
- Author (including partial names -- e.g., "rowl"
when looking for Rowling)
- Lexile Range (allows a variance around a reader's
Lexile measure)
- Keywords (searches both the book's title and its
description)
- ISBN
(allows you to target a specific title)

Movies Based on the Books - Mid-Continent
Public Library
'Based on the Book' is a compilation of over
1,200 books, novels, short stories, and
plays that have been made into motion
pictures. Utilizing the Internet Movie
Database as the authority, all movies in
this collection have been released as
feature-length films in the United States,
in English, since 1980.

A readers' advisory resource which assists
fiction readers in finding new authors and
titles. It contains materials for all ages
from picture books to books for adult
readers. Look for books to read by entering
descriptive terms that appear in subject
headings, reviews, and other fields in the
title records. Use a favorite author or
title as a template to locate other authors
and titles of interest. Updated monthly.
Oprah's Book Club
Lists a brief synopsis for each book
selected. Also provides information on other
non-Oprah's Book Club books featured on her
show.
Overbooked
Established in 1994, includes annotated lists of fiction, nonfiction and mystery books which received starred reviews.
