The purpose of the API (Academic Performance Index) is to measure the academic performance and growth of schools. A school’s score or placement on the API is an indicator of a school’s performance level. A school’s growth is measured by how well it is moving toward or past that goal.

There are useful links including a list of Spanish language newspapers and radio stations as well as a list of schools for further study. Also has a list of the top ten phrases that don't translate well and a random idiom generator.
