The purpose of the API (Academic Performance Index) is to measure the academic performance and growth of schools. A school’s score or placement on the API is an indicator of a school’s performance level. A school’s growth is measured by how well it is moving toward or past that goal.

Standard Testing and Reporting Program for Glendora Unified and Charter Oak Unified School Districts

Since 1998, the Stanford Achievement Test Series, Ninth Edition (Stanford 9), a multiple-choice test that allows comparisons to be made to a national sample of students, has been administered by all California school districts to students in grades 2 through 11.

A free, online tutorial for learning Spanish. Each lesson includes a cultural lesson both in English and Spanish (many with links to additional resources), practice exercises, and a test. Words in the lessons and the cultural files are linked to sound files so you can hear the correct pronunciation (requires the free Real Player plug-in). There are useful links including a list of Spanish language newspapers and radio stations as well as a list of schools for further study. Also has a list of the top ten phrases that don't translate well and a random idiom generator.

A free, elegantly-designed site for learning the languages listed above, including grammar, common phrases, common nouns, numbers, how to tell time, aspects of the culture, and links to a wide variety of online dictionaries for each language. Unlike the previous Spanish tutorial site, this one does not have an audio component or exercises. It is more of a quick study guide in the basics.
