Bureau of Labor
Statistics
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is the
principal fact-finding agency for the Federal
Government in the broad field of labor economics
and statistics. The BLS is an independent
national statistical agency that collects,
processes, analyzes, and disseminates essential
statistical data to the American public, the
U.S. Congress, other Federal agencies, State and
local governments, business, and labor. The BLS
also serves as a statistical resource to the
Department of Labor. This site includes the
Consumer Price Index,
Occupational Outlook Handbook, as well as
other reports and labor data.
Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
The online Catalog of Federal Domestic
Assistance gives you access to a database of all
Federal programs available to State and local
governments (including the District of
Columbia); federally-recognized Indian tribal
governments; Territories (and possessions) of
the United States; domestic public,
quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit
organizations and institutions; specialized
groups; and individuals. After you find the
program you want, contact the office that
administers the program and find out how to
apply.

Statistical information from more than 70
government agencies organized in a subject-based
A-Z Index. There's a search engine that
currently covers 14 agencies. Also organized by

(federal agencies that provide state, county and
